Living with dyslexia at 22

School life has always been hard for me. The most problem I had was spelling, grammar and pronunciation. English was always my most hated class as I was never good at it...as so I thought. Year 10 comes a long and I'm struggling with a science test as I can't spell the chemicals names. The teacher comes to me my second round of the test and says "You could be dyslexia." The rest of the day that all I could think of is makes so much sense now. This is why I have struggle so much through out school life and even everyday with emails, msn and texting.

This was one of the most heartbreaking thing but also biggest relief. Fast forever to year 11. I have started sixth form college, I picked English, ICT and Photography. I knew I needed support and the college offer that. I went to their disability support office, told them the situation. I have never felt so happy that I knew this wasn't going to hold me back anymore. This wasn't my official diagnose but it was enough for the college to go on before I started my Bachelor's degree in the same college.

Now I'm doing my Bachelor's degree in Photography. Due to the joy of funding I had to be official diagnose by the NHS otherwise I wouldn't get the supported I need. This helped the most has I was able to get the software call Dragon. Dragon is a speech-to-text software that lets you talk into a microphone and have the words be on the word document. This was most useful software for me out of all the support I felt I could do anything...till I got told my documents read like someone is talking...which it was. AH WELL.

I have graduate and my dyslexic effective me more than my whole school life. I'm trying my hardest to get into content creation as a full time job and my dyslexic really wants to kicks me into the teeth. I try my hardest to work my way around it but not all work places have the software I need. Offend I just get told to make re check your work, let other people check it or don't understand how my spelling and grammar is that bad. I'm slowing getting there but hopeful one day I will get my big chance.

With friends and family is has't changed us with now know it is dyslexia but it has help us open up more and getting to understand my learning disability. They never make any dyslexia jokes to me unless I make fun of it myself first. It's great to know that there are people out there how understand and love to learn more about it. Fun fact: Dyslexia is the most common learning disability and occurs in all areas of the world. It affects 3–7% of the population, however, up to 20% may have some degree of symptoms. I have met people from around the world who have dyslexia to be able to talk about it and known your never alone, there is always help.

I suggest Dragon software if you do have the spelling type of dyslexia has it has help me a lot though big worded documents. And if you feel embarrassed or hardhearted by your learning disability, remember Albert Einstein was dyslexic. Pablo Picasso was dylexic. Richard Branson is dyslexic and there is many more famous faces who are dyslexic. They have found success and you can too.

Boohoo haul

I have a had a bad month so I thought I would treat myself with some new styles. First is this jumpsuit Plus Pinstripe Tailored Jumpsuit. I wasn't excepting to love this as much as I do. My only issue is that the legs were a bit too long for me but I got them taken up so it's not an issues anymore. Prefect for interview, night out and just a smart outfit overall.
I try out this Plus Tie Front Angel Sleeve Jumpsuit as I wanted something more colourful than I would normally go for. I love it! It's so loose so I feel as free as a bird. It's a little bit see thought but not enough for me to worry over it. I feel like this was for someone with some lower breast as the tie is a lot lower than I thought but still workable with. I would say this more causal but still great for a meal out.

Now this Plus Slinky Wrap Over Flared Bodysuit is something I would never try but after thinking "Hold on I have a PVC skirt from PhazeClothing" I love this skirt but I have nothing to go with it. When I seen this bodysuit styled with PVC skirt I knew I had to give it a try. I like the way it looks but feel it will love much better with fishnet tights.

Make up review

I treat myself to two lipsticks as I have been having a tough time lately. So I thought I try something different Sugar Pill Cosmetic High Tea Dainty and Jeffree Star Drug Lord.
Both are very different but they are both with different reason. I bought Dainty as it look like a nude pink that I could wear everyday, while Drug Lord was something I would wear when I feel brave and creative.

Dainty is the first Sugar Pill product I have very bought. I LOVE IT. It smells so good. The sweet smell just makes me want to wear it and top up all day long. I love the colour. It's such as nice mute pink that I think works really well for my skin. Yes in some photos it doesn't look like I have any on but that's the point it's a nude lipstick. It last a while as well, I was able to wear it for a party all night and only top up just from being paranoid.

Take a look on my Instagram

Drug lord is another story. I do like it as it very different however. The smell isn't good at all. Just smells very chemical like, almost like deep clean bathroom without the lemon. The pigment is okay. You do need to layer it for it show the white it adverts. Still great for an alternative lipstick just wish the formal and smell was better.

Aesthetic look

One of my favorite alternative looks as, I feel it's a easy look that can confuse people.
Just the implications of this outfit is great!
Just pop on some Doc Martins and any black bottoms.
Totally causal but effective.

BooHoo Plus size with Iron Fist

Originally I had bought the Turkish delight bootie of Iron Fist but had nothing to match them with for the longest time till I see this sweatshirt dress from BooHoo.
The pink doesn't match up as I would of liked but I still think that these are going to make a great outfit. My only problem is that what to wear under has this means I will need some red or pink shorts to go with,
What do you think? Leave me a comment to what shorts I should get to match this outfit.
